Prayer Warrior Tribe

Awhile back we posted on Instagram and Facebook, asking for anyone interested to join our Prayer Warriors Tribe and commit to praying regularly for this ministry.  We believe prayer is a powerful tool and we want the power of the prayers of God’s people to take over, directing our every step as we work out His purpose and plan for this ministry.

If you are not already a part of the Prayer Warrior Tribe here at ReleaseSARA but would like to be, please email us at [email protected] and let us know you want to join the tribe.

I thought I’d leave a little bit of our latest email here on the blog, complete with our most recent prayer requests and praises…

Let me begin with a Praise:  When I initially announced that we were looking for prayer warriors, I was preparing to fly to Houston to train the survivors and staff at Freedom Place on how to specifically use the essential oils we have been donating to them over the past year and a half.  I was so nervous about having to get up and talk in front of everyone, but the Lord heard the prayers of His people and completely took over my words and thoughts during the training.  I was filled with an unbelievable peace the morning of the training, and I truly believe God orchestrated that entire day for His plan and purpose to unfold.  Thank you to each of you who prayed for us concerning that training.  I can tell you honestly that I felt and experienced the answers to those prayers. It was amazing!  Thank you!

I have a couple of Prayer Requests: We have made a few changes to our ReleaseSARA shop recently that you may have noticed.  In addition to selling t-shirts, we are slowly adding Fair Trade items from artisans around the world, including artisans that have been rescued from a life of trafficking both abroad and here in the United States.  I am thrilled for this change as it means we are reaching and helping more people through this ministry.  Please pray that the addition of Fair Trade items to our shop will further grow our ministry by bringing more supporters to our shop who will make more purchases, which will in turn mean more proceeds we can flip to purchase essential oils for the survivors we support at Freedom Place.

Our desire is to grow this ministry large enough to begin supporting another facility like Freedom Place…and eventually several, if not all, of the facilities like Freedom Place in the United States. Please pray that God will send the support we need to reach other facilities and that He will give us wisdom and direction as we grow.  I must admit, I am far from qualified for leading this ministry.  I do not have an educational background in business or management or marketing or anything of the sort…But what I do have is a desire for God to use me and a willingness to submit myself to His call for me, even if it feels uncomfortable at times.  I believe He has taken me out of my comfort zone so that I remain humble and dependent upon Him to grow this ministry, knowing that any growth is not from my own strengths or abilities but rather His working out of His plans and purposes through me.  When I remember this, there is a sense of peace that it’s not up to me and that I just need to be willing to let Him use me.

Lastly, please pray for the survivors at Freedom Place as they heal physically, mentally, and emotionally from the trauma they’ve endured.  Pray that they would lean into Jesus, trusting in His goodness even when they don’t understand.  Pray that they will feel His presence in a way that leaves them craving more of Him and a desire to pursue Him as they heal.  Pray that the essential oils we send to them will be a useful tool in their recovery and will help them release the emotions they’ve pushed down for so long so that they can move on in complete freedom.  Our desire is for them to be free from the emotional bondage and to fully experience freedom in Christ.  We believe this is possible if we will rally together in agreement and prayer for these survivors.

Thank you for your prayers as we grow!

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Ephesians 6:18
