Spotlight: Chelsea Morrill
We’re thrilled to officially welcome Chelsea Morrill as the Chief Caffeinator (Manager) for our new social enterprise to support survivors of trafficking, Root + Gather Coffee Co.!
Chelsea brings with her 7 years of dynamic experience in both coffee shop management and administrative support—a rare and powerful blend that makes her uniquely equipped to lead our growing mobile coffee trailer program. From managing daily operations at Island Coffee & Smoothies to overseeing scheduling and workflow at Brevard Handyman Services, Chelsea has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, attention to detail, and a deep commitment to customer service. At Island Coffee, she not only led a team of 10 employees but also boosted sales by 20% through smart marketing and community engagement—an impact we’re excited to see her pour into Root + Gather Coffee Co.
But Chelsea’s impact goes far beyond operations. She’s been actively attending mentor trainings with our mentors for SARA’s Roots in preparation to lead our newest initiative—offering job training and mentorship to survivors interested in gaining barista and business management experience through our coffee trailer program. Chelsea will be supporting survivors as they rebuild their confidence, learn new skills, and take bold steps toward economic empowerment. With her experience in team leadership, problem-solving, and customer care, she’ll be the steady, encouraging presence these future trainees need as they step into new possibilities.
We want to honor the incredible faith and patience Chelsea has shown over the past several months. Since Fall of 2024, she has waited with us—praying, preparing, and believing in the vision of Root + Gather Coffee Co.—even when she could have easily chosen to take her talents elsewhere. Her willingness to wait on the Lord’s timing and hold space for this dream to unfold has been a quiet but powerful testimony of faithfulness.
Now, as opening day is just around the corner, we couldn’t be more excited! In the coming weeks, Chelsea will be busy training our starting lineup of baristas—and launching a mission that’s been long in the making.
A Word from Chelsea
“I’ve always had a heart for missions, and in college, I discovered a passion for coffee too—now I get to combine both! I’m so excited to make coffee alongside these amazing women, while also having a creative outlet to craft fun drinks and connect with great people along the way!”
Welcome, Chelsea—we’re honored to have you leading the way and brewing hope. ❤️

Congratulations chelsea! Your coffee making skills are only surpassed by your heart for God and for serving others! I am looking forward to the next time we’re down in your area when I can come and see your new Venture and enjoy a cup of coffee with you, God bless!
