Partner: Stay With Me

At SARA’s Roots, we are committed to providing survivors with the support they need to “root, grow, and flourish.” A critical component of this mission is ensuring our volunteers are equipped to offer exceptional mentorship. To achieve this, we have partnered with Robin van Denderen, founder of Stay With Me, a nonprofit dedicated to breaking the cycle of prostitution through strategic outreach and empowerment.

Robin’s journey began in Amsterdam’s Red-Light District, where she learned firsthand the importance of building trust and restoring identity among women in prostitution. Bringing this experience to Central Florida, she established Stay With Me to apply her expertise in outreach and mentorship.

Through her workshops and training sessions, Robin is enhancing our volunteer program by instilling best practices in mentorship. Whether it’s transporting survivors, assisting in our coffee trailer, or providing direct mentorship, our volunteers are being trained to offer support that is intentional, compassionate, and effective.

Robin’s guidance ensures that every interaction our volunteers have with survivors contributes positively to their healing journey. Her emphasis on strategic outreach and identity restoration aligns seamlessly with our goals at SARA’s Roots.

We are profoundly grateful for Robin’s partnership and the invaluable expertise she brings to our program. Together, we are fostering an environment where survivors can truly root, grow, and flourish.
