Spotlight: Kym Kurey

We at SARA’s Roots would like to express our deepest gratitude to Kym Kurey, the founder and President of ANEW Life International, for her unwavering support and dedication to our mission. Kym established ANEW Life International in 2019 with the goal of eradicating human trafficking and assisting survivors in clearing their criminal records to facilitate a fresh start.

Kym’s extensive background in consumer advocacy and her passion for helping others have been instrumental in her work. Her organization offers services such as background checks, expungement assistance, and reputation monitoring to support survivors on their journey to recovery.

Kym has been an invaluable ally to SARA’s Roots, dedicating countless hours to assist one of our residents who faced employment challenges due to unresolved background issues stemming from her trafficking experience. Kym’s expertise and relentless efforts in contacting the appropriate authorities have been pivotal in advancing the process of clearing the record, thereby opening new opportunities for our resident.

Beyond her administrative support, Kym has shown personal commitment by also meeting weekly with a resident to serve as a witness during custody exchanges. Her presence ensures the safety and well-being of our resident, providing both character protection and emotional support during these critical moments.

Kym’s compassionate actions and steadfast dedication exemplify the mission of ANEW Life International and have made a profound impact on the lives of those we serve at SARA’s Roots. We are truly grateful for her partnership and unwavering support in our shared commitment to empowering survivors and fostering healing.

Thank you, Kym!
