Spotlight: Angie Norris
Angie Norris serves as the Fundraising Director for SARA’s Roots, where her dedication to supporting survivors and fighting human trafficking is invaluable. A former Brevard County school teacher, Angie’s journey into advocacy began during a 2012 mission trip to the Dominican Republic. There, she witnessed the horrors of human trafficking firsthand, working with rescued victims. This life-changing experience, coupled with the realization that human trafficking is one of the fastest-growing crimes in the world, fueled her passion to make a difference.
Motivated to take action, Angie co-founded Called Out to prevent human trafficking in her hometown. She has a deep commitment to educating and empowering her community, working tirelessly to mobilize resources and build partnerships that support the mission of SARA’s Roots. Her ultimate vision has been to help survivors in Brevard County, Florida, by providing them with the support and resources they need to rebuild their lives, all while sharing her unwavering message of faith and hope in Jesus Christ. This vision is now being realized through her work with the SARA’s Roots Initiative, which provides affordable housing to survivors of sex trafficking right here in Brevard County.
From the very beginning, Angie played a pivotal role in helping to establish the SARA’s Roots program, recognizing the critical need for safe, stable housing as a foundation for survivors’ healing and recovery. Her deep commitment to this cause is rooted in her faith and her desire to offer survivors not just physical shelter, but also a path to spiritual renewal and hope.
As Fundraising Director, Angie continues to champion the SARA’s Roots Initiative, tirelessly working to secure the necessary resources to sustain and grow the program. Her efforts have been instrumental in making affordable housing a reality for these survivors, giving them a chance to start anew in an environment that nurtures both their physical and spiritual well-being. Through her leadership, Angie is making a lasting impact in the lives of those who need it most, fulfilling her vision to bring hope and healing to her community.
We are incredibly grateful for Angie’s leadership, passion, and tireless efforts, which have been instrumental in advancing our mission to provide safe spaces that empower women in our county. Her work continues to inspire us all, and her contributions are helping to transform lives and bring hope to survivors.
Thank you for all you, Angie!!!
