Partner: Agape Women’s Center

ReleaseSARA and Agape have a long-standing partnership and friendship as fellow non-profit organizations supporting women in need.

We are thrilled to spotlight our cherished partner, Agape Women’s Center, and the incredible work they do to support women experiencing homelessness and trafficking. Agape Women’s Center provides a lifeline through their drop-in center, offering essential services such as warm showers, free laundry, and a safe, confidential space for women to have meaningful conversations. Their dedication to creating a welcoming environment helps women in crisis feel valued and supported.

Our collaboration with Agape has been a part of our efforts for many years. We’ve had the privilege of contributing to their mission by providing diffusers for their offices, allowing their team to create a calming atmosphere during difficult conversations with clients. Additionally, we’ve supplied essential oils for the gift bags Agape distributes to women working in strip clubs, enhancing their outreach ministry with thoughtful, practical support.

A recent milestone in our partnership occurred in March, when ReleaseSARA’s Executive Director, Lauren Johnson, shared her God-sized vision of tiny homes for survivors with Agape’s Executive Director, Ann Marie Gustke. Recognizing the urgent need for additional housing in our county, AnnvMarie was immediately supportive of the idea. Her encouragement and guidance have been instrumental as they worked together, along with other key partners, to transform it into a tangible project.

As SARA’s Roots Initiative progresses, Agape Women’s Center continues to be a steadfast ally. Their commitment to providing vital resources and support to the women and children in our housing initiative is invaluable. Notably, Agape runs a comprehensive 12-week Life Skills Workshop, which will be an integral part of the support we offer to our residents, empowering them with the skills and knowledge needed for a successful transition.

We are profoundly grateful for Agape Women’s Center and their unwavering dedication to our shared mission. Their partnership enriches our work and amplifies the impact of our efforts, and we look forward to many more years of collaboration to support and uplift those we serve.

Thank you, Agape, for being such a vital part of our journey.
