Today’s the day! It’s finally here. We’ve been working on this project for more months than I care to admit. It has taken me so long because I am not skilled in this arena. I was trained in the medical field.
I am not an apparel designer. I am not a fashionista. I am not a marketing expert. I am not a social media expert. I am not an IT guru. I am not a website designer. I am not. Period.
But He is THE GREAT I AM.
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. {2 Corinthians 12:9}
Love the new ministry, its mission, name, logo, tees, etc….once I figure out how to do it, I will post your website, info, etc. on my FB and my LinkedIn.

I just found you through a comment on a YL post! AWESOME work you are doing!! If I were near your area, I would love to be there helping. Do you know of any other places like Freedom Place around the US? I’m a YL addict myself and hope you are getting enough oils to help these girls! I will be sharing. ?

Your shirt is on the way to you and should reach you by Friday, fyi. 🙂 Freedom Place is the first of it’s kind but I’ve heard of recent ones popping up and some that are in the building/planning phases in several different states. Restore One is the first for boys and it’s in Greenville, North Carolina. One for girls is being built in Florida now and another organization is planning one in New Jersey. There are others but those are the ones that come to mind. These are all just domestic minor facilities like Freedom Place. There are many other facilities for adult survivors around the country. Check out the Michigan Human Trafficking Task Force to see what’s in your state that you might be able to get involved in. Thanks so much for those links Lauren and I’m looking forward to getting the shirt! I recently learned of a brothel house that is located on a large farm a couple of hours from me. One of the girls escaped and was caught by police, but I don’t know what happened past that. The area is a large pot growing area and the “law” is often at the center of the crimes if you know what I mean. People are afraid to say anything because of the drug/crime and what might happen to them. I hate to think about what is going on there, but like others don’t know how to help. I’m thinking of writing the person over the department at MSU. I would love to see a facility like Freedom Place start here. Thank you again for what you have done for this effort and for incorporating YL also!
Oh wow! Very scary stuff indeed! I would just encourage anyone to ask God for the wisdom on how to handle any crimes they witness and trust He will watch over them. I would hate to be one of the girls (or boys) caught in the brothel with everyone around too scared to speak up. I will pray for you and your area specifically. I think writing a letter is a great place to start. You never know what ball you might get rolling. And spend some time in prayer, asking God to show you how you should move forward. His will is for us to help those in need (there are many scriptures to back this up) and we know that if we ask anything in His will, He will answer us. He wants us seeking Him and His wisdom. That’s how this all began for me…a simple prayer asking God to break my heart for what breaks His. He did. Here I am three years later. I’m not saying your journey will look like mine, but I’m saying you can believe He will show you what He wants you to do! Please keep in touch! Thanks again for all of your support!
